DJ Level 4 - Live Performance ($595)

  • Mondays 6-9pm | February 17 - March 3rd 2025

This course is designed for live performance.  Learning how to engage an audience is the key to being a successful live DJ!  In this class we focus on psychological aspects of preparing for the show including displaying confidence and connecting with the crowd.  We’ll also focus on the difference between the opener and the featured act.   In level 4 we explore what it takes to become the headliner as you prepare your first 30 – 45min which will be performed for the class and captured on video.

  • • Advanced digital transition techniques
  • • Cue point routines vs scratch routines
  • • Mix techniques designed for four decks
  • • Advanced EQing techniques
  • • Comparing ideas of the opening vs. headlining DJ
  • • Psychological aspect of the live set and how to prepare for a variety of situations 
  • • Final recorded 30-45 minute performance incorporating everything you’ve learned from level 1-4
  • • Advanced FX techniques

**Students are required to bring their own laptop for use in Levels 3 & 4 of the program.
